Placenta Encapsulation FAQ

How does this whole process work?

Fill out our online intake form and we will send out a digital quote and contract. You will be able to secure services and pay our deposit online in just a few minutes.

Once you have the baby you preserve the placenta (don’t worry we have that covered too!) and call us and we will pick up from the hospital and return your pills in 1-2 days.

Do you add herbs to the pills?

I never add anything to your placenta.

What is a tincture?

Our tincture is made with high quality organic gluten free vodka. It comes in a 4 oz bottle. The tincture needs to steep for at least 6 weeks. After 6 weeks you can use the tincture off of the top of the bottle or choose to filter it. We provide a filter kit and 1 oz bottle to filter into.

Tincture has an indefinite shelf life. This makes tincture a great resource for the long term and for premenstrual, menopausal, or any other hormonal times.

I had my baby now what?

Preserve the placenta using the kit you have mailed to you! The placenta is double bagged. Extra bags are filled with ice from the hospital and everything is packed into the provided single use cooler. Give me a call or send a text. I will come during visiting hours to pick up the placenta.

Can I still encapsulate my placenta if I have an induction, pain medication and/or a cesarean birth?

Absolutely!

I heard a baby got sick from placenta capsules. Can my baby get sick too?

There was a single case study that indicated that a baby may have gotten ill from placenta capsules. There are a lot of questions regarding how that placenta was prepared and the circumstances surrounding it. I only prepare placentas using food safe temperatures and practices. For more information please feel free to read this blog.
